Belper Baptist Church Millennium Banner

In mid 1999, a church member was given a vision by God of a large banner spanning King Street, Belper's main shopping street with the words "Back to Jesus in the year 2000". She told the church of this vision. The vision was independently confirmed by another church member and so the church agreed that we should go ahead with this banner.

Despite many setbacks and problems of getting permission for the banner to be erected in the town, it eventually went up and hung in the town centre for 6 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. We give thanks to God for His provision in enabling us to complete this work for Him. Sadly, our member who had the original vision passed away during 2003.
