The manse was built in 1955, and is a semi-detatched modern house
overlooking Belper and the surrounding Amber Valley.
In the 1970's it was extended considerably to its current size.
It has 5 bedrooms, 4 of which are double bed sized, and the other
is still large enough for a single bed, or as a study.
Downstairs there is a large family sitting room with a passageway
to the downstairs toilet and kitchen. A separate front lounge is
ideal for meetings, leading straight from the hall.
The house was extensively re-decorated in early 1998,
with new carpets being fitted throughout. Plastic guttering and soffits,
together with double glazing mean that the manse takes very little maintenance.
To the rear are extensive sloping lawned gardens, with small
terraced sitting areas. There is an outside, brick built store house.
The manse is situated at the head of a cul-de-sac in a quiet
residential area approximately 10 minutes walk from the church,
and a similar distance to the centre of the town.
Playing fields and children's play park are within a five minute walk.
The view from the manse windows is shown to the right.
