Current external view of the church from the opposite side of the A6. Damage to the stonework of the pillars can be seen particularly at the base of the right hand pillar where the dressing is lifting from the stone. As the frontage is built from Derbyshire gritstone, it is very delicate and the surface could easily be damaged by harsh cleaning techniques.
