In the mid 1960’s a decision was taken to sell the old chapel building and to alter the new one by putting in upstairs rooms. Apart from anything else this meant that children would no longer have to cross an increasingly busy A6 to go from one building to the other.

The alterations were completed and the chapel was opened by Mrs A J Roberts in October 1967.
